Embracing Modernity: Venezuelan Geometric Abstraction January 2, 2011

This exhibition presents a historical overview of the origins of the Venezuela's abstract movement, focusing on its early development dating from the late 1940s to the 1970s. On display are paintings, sculptures, and installations that illustrate the development of Venezuelan Geometric Abstraction and Kinetic Art, and introduce many artists who contributed to the development of movement in Venezuela, unknown to the American public.
