Through a repertoire that reaches from Bach to contemporary music, Emanuele Arciuli has established himself as one of the most original, energetic, scholarly and imaginative contemporary concert performers. His program centers around the Concord Sonata by Charles Ives, pairing it with James Tenney’s own meditation on the sonata, and includes works by Native American composers Barbara Croall and Raven Chacon. Arciuli has a formed deep relationship with the artists and music of United States, and his sustained interest and commitment to Native American culture has led to the creation of pieces for him by several major Native composers.
