There is a touch of the wondrously ineffable in an Emanuel Ax performance. He is commanding without being showy; always in control, but never on display. Emanuel Ax completely inhabits the music. The program features Chopin and Schumann in celebration of the 2010 bicentennials of both composers’ births.
