Pianist John Stenger, upright bassist Raymond Clemens and drummer Justin Leigh are currently exploring new musical frontiers as Ellipsis, a band that combines their jazz backgrounds with their love of contemporary music. Dissatisfied with just playing old standards, the band is exploring a new sound that maintains the serious dedication to improvisation of jazz, but combines it with the energy and language of rock music ranging from Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles to Bright Eyes and Radiohead.
