With a bevy of sold out shows at top regional venues, Ellen Robinson invites you to celebrate her return engagement to Yoshi’s in Jack London Square. Once again, she has assembled her quartet of four simpatico players who are immersed in her music: the multi talented Murray Low, nominated for 2008 Pianist of the Year by the Latin Jazz Corner; Sam Bevan, much in demand as a bassist who is solid on every kind of groove; drummer Bud Spangler, Grammy nominated CD producer and former KCSM and KJAZ radio host who draws on his Detroit roots; and Kristen Strom, one of the finest contemporary sax players who has recorded with many top jazz artists in addition to leading her own quintet.
