Set in 1966, this play is about Ella Fitzgerald, who is asked by her manager to work up some "patter" to share with the audience that night. Initially resistant, Ella eventually agrees and as the play unfolds we are swept along by a cascade of herbest-loved songs, experiencing Ella's highs and lows as she breaks through to a celebration of music and life.
