Elektra's 20th Anniversary Concert April 14, 2007

For twenty years Elektra Women’s Choir has been at the forefront of the classical women’s choir movement. They have led and inspired with recordings, commissions, and concerts and have been rewarded with multiple competition prizes and prestigious invitations to represent Canada internationally. Elektra is celebrating that past with a forward-looking concert on April 14th at Christ Church Cathedral that features the world premieres of works by Vancouver composers Ramona Luengen (an Elektra alumna) and Jeffrey Ryan. Joining Elektra for this sparkling event is the legendary mezzo-soprano Judith Forst, Vancouver pianist Stephen Smith, Elektra alumnae, and a string orchestra led by concertmaster Nancy DiNovo.
