The first meeting of the new UK Enterprise Java Users Group will be held on Monday, 12 March 2007 hosted by Skills Matter in London.
The subject of the meeting will be Java Persistence - The Big Debate featuring EJB3/OpenJTA and Hibernate and we have two great speakers lined up: Rod Johnson of Interface21 and Patrick Linskey of BEA.
The meeting will be an interactive presentation, discussion and debate on the merits of EJB3 and OpenJPA compared with Hibernate for Java persistence. Patrick will speak on behalf of EJB and OpenJPA, while Rod will be persuading us of the advantages of Hiberate. The meeting will include presentation and discussion, in order to generate lots of debate and help us all to improve our understanding of the pros and cons of both frameworks.
After the meeting we'll be heading off to a local pub for drinks and more discussion! We look forward to seeing you there! O
