eighth blackbird is joined by a gifted indie star for one crazily omnivorous collaborative event. Nico Muhly is an impossibly prodigious composer, performer, arranger, and thinker. He has worked with Björk, Philip Glass, and Sufjan Stevens, has written an opera for the Metropolitan Opera as well as film music for The Reader. He joins eighth blackbird for an exclusive, one-night-only performance exploring Muhly’s own works as well as songs and pieces by musicians that loom large in his fascinating musical world.
