eHealth in an Age of Austerity: Achieving Maximum Benefit May 9, 2011

Hosted by the Hungarian Presidency of the EU, ehealth week 2011 represents the largest pan-European eHealth event with the collocation of the European Commission’s High Level Ministerial Conference and the World of Health IT Conference & Exhibition (WoHIT). Many other major stakeholder events will also take place during eHealth week, making eHealth week 2011 the most complete pan-European eHealth event of the year.

The programme will represent all the major stakeholders participating in the event and will feature renown international speakers, including Government decision makers; Industry leaders; Hospital CIOs; Practitioners and Patient Groups.

Panel discussions, debates, high level presentations and actual case studies will aim to generate evidence of eHealth contribution to healthcare delivery. The speakers will share their experience on successful implementations, new trends and challenges in the eHealth sector.

The plenary sessions and debates will be led by a Master of Ceremonies, addressing current eHealth topics.

What

eHealth week is a collocation of the European Commission’s High Level Ministerial Conference and the World of Health IT Conference & Exhibition. It was in 2010 hailed as Europe’s largest pan-European conference: an all encompassing event focusing on leadership and the continuum of care – healthcare from the home to the hospital. The event will also address other related subjects such as pharma and health 2.0.
