Most of us are aware of the power and value of PR, but less of us probably understand how it actually works and how we create it effectively.

Have you ever asked yourself:
• What is newsworthy?
• How do we communicate our messages to journalists?
• How do we write something about our business that doesn't just look like a sales pitch?!

If you have and you'd like to know the answers and more, come along to our October training event to learn more about the following topics:
• PR vs. advertising
• What is news?
• Planning a PR campaign
• The stages in developing a newsworthy story
• Writing a press release
• How to contact a journalist
• The 10 golden rules of ethical PR

This session will be hosted by Tor Goldfield, Account Director at Blue Rocket PR and will include a useful interactive session and a chance to meet a national freelance journalist with the usual Q&A to finish off.

Tor joined Blue Rocket in March 2008 and has eight years' PR agency experience. She has worked with clients of all sizes; from small start-ups to multi-million pound operations and encompassing privately-owned, public sector, third sector and educational organisations. Her understanding of journalists' needs - combined with the ability to spot and develop a story - have resulted in a reputation for getting the job done! This approach has led to many of Tor's campaigns being nominated for, and winning, a number of industry awards.

It's going to be a good one, so book now!
