Education & Sustainable Design Workshop April 17, 2013

Join the University of Richmond and local supporters and sponsors for a workshop to promote environmental awareness and education initiatives that promote sustainability and support a healthy local ecology. Highlights of the workshop include a presentation from Warren Byrd, Jr., horticulturalist and architect, on the innovative use of sustainable design and native plants to support bio-diversity; a campus tour and walking lecture by UR professors on sustainability initiatives and the use of natural spaces on campus for educational purposes; and a panel discussion with area experts on environmental education projects and sustainability initiatives at their institutions. Workshop participants will complete a plan for a sustainable design project.
