Edmonds Community College Foundation 20th Annual Golf Classic September 17, 2010

The golf classic is the Foundation’s second largest fundraiser, after its annual auction, in support of its mission: to support access, success, and excellence for students, faculty, and staff at Edmonds Community College. To date, the Foundation has awarded 125 scholarships, totaling $129,000, for the 2010-11 academic year as well as 17 grants, totaling $30,000, in support of college programs.

Last year the Golf Classic raised $35,000 for the college. The presenting sponsor of the event is Comprehensive Wealth Management, a financial services firm, in Lynnwood.

“Education gives people the opportunity to make the most of themselves. By supporting an organization like the Edmonds Community College we have a chance to make a difference in individual lives and through those lives, benefit the community and economy as a whole,” said Shilo M. Lockett, Chief Operating Officer of Comprehensive Wealth Management.

The cost of the golf classic with banquet included is $175 per golfer or $1,000 for a VIP foursome. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
