Edinburgh Armed Forces Day June 26, 2010

Edinburgh will celebrate Armed Forces Day with a Parade through the Old town followed by activities in West Princes St Gardens. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

12:30 Veterans, Cadets & Serving Personnel gather at Castle Esplanade for the Armed Forces Day Parade – report to Parade RSM

13:00 Parade depart Castle Esplanade and proceed down the High Street and past the City Chambers. The Parade will follow a route down Cockburn Street and will end in Mound Precinct.

14:00 Ross Theatre and East Princes Street Gardens will host a wide variety of activities:

Beer Garden

Refreshments

Veterans Association Information Stands

Children’s activities

Military Music Performances

Highland Country Dancing performances

16:00 Ceremony of Beating Retreat
