The Economic Bailout Jam - "A Dollar Jam"

In the past, MetroFlow, the Georgia Tech Bboy Club - before changing their name to Techstyles- used to host frequent jams, where entry was just a dollar called "dollar jams". These jams consisted of basic cyphering and small battles to gather the bboy community and to just have some fun doing what bboys do. For reasons unknown, these jams started to become less and less frequent and eventually became forgotten. But the members of the new Techstyles decided what better time to bring back these "dollar jams": When people only have a dollar or two they can spare? Hence: "The Economic Bailout Jam"! We want to toss out the notion of $20 to get in a Jam and $5 more to be in a battle (plus the $6 on drinks while you are there) and the $2 extra dollars if you want to bring your camera. (Super Exaggeration!) We want to start these jams again to try to get the bboy community back to being able to do what they do while meeting new people and not losing a weeks paycheck to do it. This is just the first in a series of Dollar Jams, that if things go as planned, will not be the last and will hopefully become a tradition here at Georgia Tech.

So the jams consist of cyphers, music and straight up Atl bboying. For this jam, we're really trying to spread the love by having some 1v1 battles, at no extra charge, with the winner taking home at least $25-$30.(Depending on the interest, we'll try and raise the prize money) Because all of the money we recieve for the event will go straight to paying for the venue and all other stuff, we can't give out as much as we would like. PLEASE, PLEASE, if you can, support us in our first attempt of a dollar jam. We really wanna continue to help the ATL scene grow more and really help all the crews ( HBO, RFTA, FunkLordz, Burn Unit,etc.) that have already laid the foundation for us.
