Pixel-Lab present EAT YOUR GAMES (a Playful joint).
In the run-up to Playful ’09 at the end of October, we’re chuffed to the rafters at being invited to London Digital Week. EAT YOUR GAMES is a one-hour chat session about digital distribution, the rise of indie development, and stable platforms with three of the UK’s most interesting games companies.
Jim McNiven is from Kerb Games – a web agency who develop viral games for brands, but who are now moving towards indie development as they create their own IP in the form of a football-themed browser-based MMO.
Robin Lacey is part of a young company called Beatnik Games. They’re developing Plain Sight, a multiplayer robo-action explosion fest that plays as great as it looks. They’re currently also working on a commission for Channel 4.
Sean Murray from Hello Games, an indie company made up of ex-console developers (EA, Kuju) who are working on an incredibly exciting looking game that we’re not allowed to say anything about yet.
EAT YOUR GAMES is an opportunity to find out what digital distribution looks like from inside the industry, from developers who have made AAA, millions selling console games, independently developed hit projects, as well as online viral ad-games that reach audiences of millions.
