Easter Egg Hunt Scramble - La Porte Jaycees April 11, 2009

Yes, there is snow on the ground but the La Porte Jaycees are hard at work preparing for this year’s Easter Egg Hunt Scramble scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2009 beginning at 9:00am at the La Porte County Fairgrounds.

This is a fun and free community event for both adults and children! Plan to come a little early so you don’t miss the special appearance by the Easter Bunny!

There will be Grand Prizes for each of the 4 age groups and lots and lots of eggs to find! Kids will be divided into the following 4 groups: 0-3, 4-7, 8-10, and 11-12.

Parents will be allowed to assist their children in the 0-3 age group only. Children in this age group must be able to walk. No strollers or carrying children will be allowed. All other age groups will hunt by themselves and no parents will be allowed on the courses. Children need to bring their own bag or basket to hunt with.

The La Porte Jaycees would like to remind the Community that their Easter Egg Hunt Scramble is for the children and ask that parents please cooperate to make the event run smoothly.

The Hunt will begin with the 0-3 year old age group. Each age group will hunt separately, so that parents with children in more than one age group will be able to watch all the Hunts.

Chances on Easter Baskets will also be available. Winners for the raffle and contest will be drawn after all of the Hunts have been completed and winners must be present to win. Proceeds from the raffle and contest will go to purchase eggs for next year’s Easter Egg Hunt.

The La Porte Jaycees will also be collecting any plastic eggs that parents wish to donate back for next year’s Hunt. A box will be at the check in tables after the hunts for those wishing to donate eggs back.
