The East River Music Project was formed in late 2002 by a group of independent promoters who wanted to celebrate the music of the city at one of its finest, under-appreciated public venues, the open-air East River Park Amphitheater.

Built on a Do-It-Yourself ethic, ERMP produced its first series in the summer of 2003 with three shows with a diverse bill of acts. The shows were funded by a series of winter benefit concerts and without any corporate sponsorship.

Our current summer schedule includes nationally-recognized local acts like Cat Power, The Natural History, White Magic, Measles Mumps Rubella, and Ted Leo.

ALL SHOWS ARE FREE!

We are funding our shows without commercial sponsorships by raising funds through benefit concerts and private donations. If you are interested in making any kind of donation or volunteer to work the shows, please visit http://www.ermp.org.
