East County YMCA Summer Camps Offers Fun for Kids, Savings for Parents

LA MESA, CALIF. – The opportunity for kids to spend a perfect summer of fun is fast approaching. The East County Family YMCA offers affordable, entertaining and exciting day camp options for Summer 2009. Summer Camp Sign-up Day will be held at all three East County Family YMCA branches at the following dates and times:
*Saturday, March 7, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.: John A. Davis Family YMCA in La Mesa
*Saturday, March 7, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Cameron Family YMCA in Santee
*Saturday, March 14, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.: McGrath Family YMCA in Rancho San Diego
During these events, parents and children will learn about what’s offered this year, as well as meet camp staff, vendors from YMCA specialty camps, and the chance to win prizes, including a free week of camp! Also upon registration, the camper will receive their free camp t-shirt. Families that sign-up on this day will save $5 when registering for one to five weeks of camp; $10 when signing up for six to 11 weeks of camp.
The East County Family YMCA summer camp program includes both half-day and full-day options. YMCA offers specialty “themed” camps based on popular characters like Harry Potter, NASA Space Academy and Fairy Camp. Financial assistance is available for families and daily snacks are offered.
