Earth Education Workshop June 21, 2010

If you are someone who recognizes that we need a serious educational response to our environmental problems, believes in providing direct contact with the natural world through adventuresome learning experiences and wants to help people develop a deeper personal relationship with their home planet, then join us for a full day of stimulating sessions and demonstration activities introducing earth education. In this workshop you will receive: an overview of the history and methodology of earth education; an introduction to the components of effective concept building; exposure to dynamic leadership techniques which captivate and motivate students; an overview of a model earth education program; firsthand participation in components from several earth education programs The Institute for Earth Education is an international, nonprofit educational organization made up of a worldwide volunteer network of individuals and member organizations. Cost: $60/person. Includes workshop and lunch.
