Go Green Earth Day and Every Day! St. Martin’s in-the-Field Day School in collaboration with The Greater Severna Park Watershed Action Group and The Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce will host an Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 19th, 2008 from 10:00am-2:00pm rain or shine at St. Martin’s in-the-Field Day School and Church on Benfield Rd. This event is free and open to the public. There will be food, environmental activities, demonstrations, and exhibits by eco-friendly organizations and area youth. With activities for all ages, attendees will have the opportunity to talk to experts about rain barrels and rain gardens, see live nurse sharks, learn about organic fertilizers, talk to a master gardener about their garden at home and take the Fisherman’s Pledge with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Free recycling and compost bins will be given out. The Men of St. Martin’s (Church) will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers for purchase. There will be lots to see and do, so please join us!
