Earth Day Celebration April 17, 2009

Come celebrate HANC's 19th birthday! This year's theme is THE GREEN GENERATION - find out what "green" means and learn about what you can do to help make a greener world. Event starts with a fundraising pancake breakfast at 9 am, with exhibits, activities and entertainment beginning at 10 am and going until 3 pm when we cut and serve the birthday cake. Highlights include free water bottles (BPA-free) to the first 275 visitors, free garden seeds (while supplies last), craft activities, entertainment, Recycled Art show by Parkview Center School students, plus the annual Walking Parade and tree planting. We'll be accepting certain things for free recycling (day of event only, please): fluorescent light bulbs, eyeglasses and printer cartridges. GO GREEN!
