DUX (Designing for User eXperiences) 2007

"ACM SIGCHI, ACM SIGGRAPH, and AIGA are excited to announce the third designing for user experience conference (dux07) focused on social media and networks

dux07 will gather together designers and researchers to share stories and insights about meeting user and business needs through design. The conference will feature case studies selected through a rigorous peer-review process that emphasizes practical, real-world learning

Themes:
-- Expectations regarding the methods and responsibilities of Designers and Researchers are changing
-- Everyone designs: users are becoming co-creators
-- How we share experiences is changing: artifacts once only shared with close relations are now woven into the fabric of online communities
-- A new global communication shorthand is being created
-- We need to allow for experimentation with self-expression
-- Mobile is not a device
-- The value of relationships is changing
-- Leveraging the brand of 'You'

dux07 will surface issues and strive to define the role of Designers in these shifting landscapes".
