The Dutch Cabinet Galleries, which opened in 1995, provide a suite of intimately sized rooms for exhibiting the small-scale Dutch and Flemish paintings in the collections of the National Gallery of Art. The Cabinet Galleries consist of three rooms that gracefully flow into each other through a series of open doorways. Aside from the display of small-scale paintings, the Dutch Cabinet Galleries provide an ideal space for focus exhibitions that place Dutch and Flemish works in their historical context.
