Good ol’ boys Jason Ross and Bobby Taylor are hanging out the “Held Over” signs for the comedy in which two Alabama duck-huntin’ brothers come to believe they’ve shot an angel!

As brothers Duane and Duwell Early, down-home souls who rarely bag a duck, the boys debate their fate while chased by Daniel Black and Michael Ruff as a know-it-all tabloid reporter (think “National Enquirer”) and his black college-grad photographer. The two yankees are wary of what might lurk, deep in the swamps of darkest Alabama, but they find southern folks aren’t just dumb crackers, and that “smarts”, faith and love are found everywhere.

DUCK HUNTER SHOOTS ANGEL, which the Playhouse rates at PG-Thirteen, “is a hilarious and thought-provoking show with a little salty language and some mature good-ol’-boy humor.”
