Drummer Wally Schnalle Group: Jazz Fusion July 28, 2009

Wally Schnalle is a innovative and creative drummer who goes beyond the traditional boundaries of jazz, funk and fusion. His compositions cross a wide variety of musical styles, ever-daring, and he has also creatively mixed jazz with electronica.

His compositions are works of powerful jazz fusion that honor his musical heroes; the great jazz drummers Max Roach and Elvin Jones with a dash of Frank Zappa thrown in for good measure. His music is wildly creative, frenetic and dynamic. His set will feature music from his recently-released CD "Louder Than Your TV".

The band also features Murray Low (keyboards), Jeff Massanari (guitar) and Jason Muscat (bass).

The band performs as part of the San Jose Jazz Society's "Flavors of Jazz" series at Santana Row. The band performs at the Roux, a famous New Orleans, Creole style restaurant.
