Drift Effect strives to entertain as well as make the point that we were never meant to have our reality dictated to us by our senses and the observations of conformists. As soon as people close their minds, they might as well be dead. With the release of their CD "Be Something," the 5 band members managed to come together to try to refine a sound that makes you think as well as feel. The CD was produced by Chris Mara (Gin Blossoms) and recorded at Pachyderm Studios, where bands like Nirvana, Soul Asylum, Live, Mudvayne and many more have also recorded. Everyone who comes to the show will receive a FREE Drift Effect CD.

Drift Effect is one of the top 100 unsigned bands according to XM Radio and was #4 in the top 10 bands of 2005 (Rockin 101, St. Cloud.) Through all of the hard work and success, the band has stuck to its ideals. They recognize the business, but are intent on writing music with a purpose. To begin the show, the amazing talents of Johnnyrook, Mindrite and Absent I will open. Johnnyrook has the unique ability to grab the listener's attention with clean vocals and melodic acoustic rock broken up by fits of hard hitting moments coupled with intense screams. Mindrite (DesMoines, IA) blends classic musical techniques with an alternative feel and style to create a unique combination of moods and emotions wrapped up in a hard rock package. Absent I has blown away audiences with an experimental sound of acoustic guitars backed by dense electronic programming and features the moody vocals of Alex Anderson formerly of STAIJA.
