Tuesday August 3

Melancholy folk-pop mixed with unusual electronic textures. The band includes experimental guitarist Bryin Dall (best known for his work with Genesis P-Orridge's spoken word/sound collage project Thee Majesty). Though their recorded work has explored various underground genres, the live show mainly focuses on dark folk songs punctuated by noise, framing Derek Rush's plaintive tenor vocals and bruised guitar with drum samples, driving bass, and waves of effects.
"...part industrial, part classical, part avant-garde tone poems that alight on touchstones as varied as Nine Inch Nails, Damien Rice, the squealing brakes of subway trains and the clanging of lift shaft cables." - Logo Magazine
