In the early 1950s, Dr. Lonnie Smith was given his first Hammond B3 organ by the owner of a local music store. He began his professional career recording with George Benson. As a solo artist, he has recorded more than thirty albums under his own name and has also recorded with David "Fathead" Newman, Lee Morgan and Joe Lavano. Trumpeter Donald Harrison will perform.
