Downtown Sound: New Music Mondays - The Books with Via Tania June 21, 2010

The popular series, Downtown Sound: New Music Mondays, co-currated by At Pluto LTD, returns to Millennium Park for a second summer, featuring an eclectic mix of music discoveries, cutting-edge indie rock, pop bands and rock veterans.

The Books, comprised of New York based duo of Nick Zammuto and Paul de Jong, have been on the forefront of electronic folk for over ten years. Their library of recorded sound samples includes a quickly growing collection of video, which they intend to use on stage as well as in installations and film. The folky, electro-acoustic Via Tania is so appealing; she was able to build a loyal following, even before she had an album officially released.
