Ten years ago, when doves first formed in the wake of the acid house craze that swept through their hometown of Manchester, England, they were just three kids who wanted to have a good time. Twin brothers Jez and Andy Williams hadn't seen their old schoolmate, Jimi Goodwin until they bumped into each other one crazed night on the dance floor at the legendary Hacienda club. The Hacienda was acid house central, the centrifugal force that spun out a generation of kids who wanted to do something for themselves. So they did the right thing, they formed a band. The Manchester, England, epic pop trio the Doves reunited Jimi Goodwin (vocals/bass) with twin brothers Jez (guitar) and Andy Williams (drums) for a stunning musical collaboration mimicking the likes of Radiohead, the Verve, and Ocean Colour Scene. Doves, all of whom had previously joined forces in the dance combo Sub Sub, are best-known for their club smash "Ain't No Love (Ain't No Use)." This show was re-scheduled from May 5th, all tickets from the old date will be honored.
