Doug Varone and Dancers November 9, 2010

Doug Varone and Dancers, one of the hottest young dance companies in the world today, appears on November 9 at Crossville’s Cumberland County Playhouse. Funded in part by a national grant from South Arts in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, the Playhouse is one of only eleven arts presenters chosen under this major competitive grant program, and of only six hosting the Varone Company nationwide with South Arts support.

Doug Varone and Dancers has gained national attention for visionary choreography, versatility, and technical prowess. The Company dancers are athletic and powerful, with great musicality and strong acting. Their master classes and professional workshop programs, with two scheduled at the Playhouse, are in great demand. Artistic Director Doug Varone will personally provide commentary and audience discussion opportunities.
