Double Shot @ Double Wide February 6, 2009

I'm real excited about this show. I get to play twice! My traditional Country Western band, Slim Forsythe & the Parklane Drifters, will play a "Dinner Set" startin' around 8:30 PM. We'll go for an hour or so. (That's yours truly on rhythm guitar, Scratchy Hutter on country fiddle, Big Rock on lap steel guitar and Candy Mountain on standup bass).
Then our featured guest, Cathy Stewart and Jigsaw, will take the stage. We're tickled to death to be sharin' the bill with Cathy and Co. She's a hard-workin' gal makin' all kinds of noise throughout the Tri-State. Most recently she's been a main force in resurrectin' the Original Radio Jamboree in Wheeling, West Virginia. I know you're gonna like her.
When Cathy's done, sometime after Midnight I expect, I'm takin' the stage again to close out the night louder, faster, and harder with my Rockabilly band: Rockabilly Slim Forsythe's Electrical Band (Sam Matthews on electric guitar, Shane McGraw on drums, Candy Mountain on bass, Big Rock on lap steel and electric guitars, and yours truly on rhythm guitar).
So what I'm tryin' to say, Pilgrim...you'll get a double shot of Slim at the Double Wide! And Pittsburgh's Historic South Side may never be the same!! See you Friday and in the meanwhile, be careful out there on that long, lost highway...
