Contemporary jazz guitar innovators, Sheryl Bailey and Vic Juris have been collaborating for several years via “The Electric Ladyland Project,” a jazz homage to the great rock guitar innovator, Jimi Hendrix. They have performed together at the Blue Note, The 55 Bar, 92Y Tribeca, and the Syracuse Jazz Fest, to name a few of their favored haunts. Both players are known for their sound, creativity and diversity; blending modern jazz harmonies, blues melodies and sinewy melodies for a captivating interplay through any choice of material they choose, whether it’s music from the American Songbook, or favorites from Jimi Hendrix, or some of their own original melodies.

One half of the evening will be an intimate visit with these two electrifying virtuosos, sure to please anyone from the jazz purist to the blues lover. Their kinetic interplay and joy of playing together shines through, and is guaranteed to invoke smiles and inspiration
