72nd St, south to the 70th St. Pier
New York City, New York

Come to the Dorothy Parker Dog Walk, at Riverside Park South. Bring your dog to Riverside Park! Special prizes! FREE. Open to the public. Dorothy Parker loved only one thing more than a good cocktail: her dogs. She loved them, she walked them in Riverside Park, and she wrote stories and poems about them:

You are God's kindliest gift of all -- a friend.
Your shining loyalty unflecked by doubt.
You ask but leave to follow to the end.
(Couldn't you wait until I took you out?)

Bring your furry friends to the first Dorothy Parker Dog Walk, to be held at Riverside Park South (roughly West 70th Street and the Hudson River, on the new pier). We are going to be meeting at the West Side Country Fair, at the table for Rational Animal, an amazing non-profit organization dedicated to increasing public awareness about NYC's at-risk animals. They will have a table set up and a photographer to take portraits of your dogs as a fundraiser. We believe this is something Mrs. Parker would appreciate.

The walk will be in Riverside Park; meet at 2 p.m. Door Prizes for best-dressed dog!

The dog walk is part of the 8th annual Parkerfest, sponsored by the Dorothy Parker Society.
