Who would have ever thought that the Houston Press would eventually have to add the title of "Best Place to See Real Fake Wrestling" to their famous "Best Of" awards? Well, Doomsday Wrestling made them do just that. After being awarded the "Best Comedy Show" award, Doomsday continued to leave audiences gasping for breath between stitches of laughter. And with wrestlers such as The Kosher Killer, The Original Son of a Bitch, Beefy Joe, and Fortune 500, who wouldn't be intrigued?

Even if you're not a fan of the great sport of wrestling, I still encourage you to catch one of their shows. These guys perform every several months out at Fitzgerald's and honestly, who wouldn't be interested in seeing the 95lb Queen Kong "crush" her opponents with her famous Steam Roller? If that doesn't interest you, there are plenty of other characters out there just ready to further their stereotype with their aptly named, skull crushing moves. Beefy Joe's "The Rack of Slam", The Kosher Killers "The Festival of Lights Out", and ex-convict, Hardtime's "Solitary Confinement."

The show is cleverly MC'd by fellow wrestling lover Tex Lonestar and former wrestler Dirty Sanchez. If skull-crushing violence isn't your game, then their banter during matches is sure to provide you plenty of laughs while you sit back, enjoy a good beer, and unforgivingly pelt the wrestlers with cheese puffs.

Doomsday's next show will take place Saturday, November 7th at Fitzgerald's, and while I can't give away too much of the plot, I can tell you that one of Doomsday's most notorious wrestlers has his eye on total world domination!
