"You don't go here and not have a conversation with Dolores. She's got a way of making you feel like you've known her all this time, yet ... you just met. The mark of a really great host of this place. Fulfill a longtime dream of singing along with unbelievable musicians, or have a drink and experience musicians and singers that you'd NEVER see anywhere else.
My experience for the first time where my long time friend, Charmaine Clamor, took me ... was that of absolute surprise and awe of how many of the vocalists I saw that night blew my mind. Don't know why we've never "heard" of some of these talented singers, but this is the place to go if you not only want to be entertained by Dolores and the musicians, but to feel a bit like a throw back in time to the old jazz clubs back in the day.
I live in Denver, so i can't frequent this place, but if I did live back here like I have all my life, this would be my go-to place."
Say hi to Dolores and tell 'em Lola sent ya!" - Lola W., Littleton, CO

"Party was a blast. Can hardly wait until the next one. Happy Easter and many more birhdays in good health!!! XOXO" - Gary Kaplan
"Had a memorable night co-hosting a (hardly surprise) birthday party in honor of our beloved Dolores Petersen. As a tribute, Dolly asked us to work up the #1 Billboard hit on the day w...e were born! Mine was the country waltz standard "Goodnight, Irene" (DON'T look it up!!!) which I did slow and bluesy and in 2/4 time. Great fun! Also got to reconnect with my fellow jazz babies, including Sharon Marie Cline, Lisa Herbert, Pierre Chambers, Mitch Ellis, Jane Dominik, Johnnie Torres, Gary Kaplan, Ada Bird Wolfe and many others. The trio couldn't be beat with Karen Hernandez on the keys, Tony Dumas on bass and my old Vitellos comrade Jack LeCompte on drums. In the audience was the iconic Tony-winning blues and gospel singer Linda Hopkins, who at 87 years young, still visits HSB&G quite frequently. Happy b-day darlin' Dolores. Hope you had as great a time as we all did!! xxxooo" - Gary Brumburgh

"What a fun night! Terrific crowd and great songs" - Johnnie Torres

"Loved seeing everyone!!!! xoxoxo" - Sharon Marie Cline
