"One most inventive and original films to grace the silver screen"

In post-apopcalyptic France, the world has been ravaged and food is in short supply to the extent that grains are used as currency. But somehow in a certain apartment building with a delicatessen on the ground floor, the inhabitants dine on delictable cutlets of... well, cutlets. Oh, and the handyman position in the shop has recently... come available.

Jean-Pierre Jeunet (the director of Amelie) brings us a very original love story with a clown, a very squeaky bed, and Mme. Tapioca to keep us company. Just stay away from the butchers daughter. Oh, the cutlets? They taste just like chicken...

Absurd, bizarre, sublime, hilarious, Delicatessen is so... Oh, I don't know if it's art, but I like it!

Pass the cutlets.
