Words from Eddie Goines, Founder:

As many of you know when I was here in NYC I organized the Diligent Actors Workshop every Saturday. We went for 3 and a half years here. It has since continued for another year and a half in California and is really thriving. Ten to fifteen people a week, well over 100 have attended, and we have had various speakers come through. But the main thing is... ...we work hard and have fun doing what we love! I have an absolute passion for this craft of acting and I just like taking every second that I can to try and grow in it and take this thing to some sort of Picasso level. Why do it any other way? And I essentially want to surround myself around with like minded people, or people who just love to act and wanna grow. We meet every Saturday from 10 to 1 every week. Come thru and get the work in. There's no commitments, come whenever you can whether it's this Saturday or next Saturday. Just show up. Let's use every opportunity to grow. Every day we have a chance to either get better or get worse... the good news is that you make the choice on which way you will go. Come thru and let's get it in!

Basically it's a gym for actors to go and hone our skills weekly. We do a lot of improv, cold read scenes and some monologue work to take our craft to it's highest level. There is no particular method as in Meisner, Substitution, Stanislavski etc. The underlying question is 'Do we believe you?' If interested, send me a message. This is for hungry, talented people and most of all... good people. One thing we always have are cool people who want to help each other grow. No big charge, we all just chip in to pay for the space. Personally making money is cool, but greatness is essential! Located in North Hollywood & NYC.

"Your job isn't merely to do the exercise but to do it in the sense of something larger than the exercise. Either you learn to respect each exercise as if it were the opening night at La Scala or opening night at La Scala will be nothing more than an exercise. "

Hope to see you all there
