Love dogs? The Museum does too! Friday, July 18 the Museum will feature Dog Days I during our annual summer Drop in Days. At 10:00 am Bob Bruce and his dog Cokie, a Therapy Dog and Tail Wagging Tutor will be visiting along with Gail Devins, Tug and Louie from Shoo Geese! Border Patrol. At 11:00 am, Catie Copley, the canine ambassador at the Fairmont Copley Plaza will be dropping by along with Deborah Kovacs, the author of Catie Copley's Great Escape, to read the story aloud and sign autographs. At 12:30 pm there will be a presentation from NEADS, Dogs for the Deaf and Disabled. Finally at 2:00 pm learn about what therapy dogs do, how they are trained and more with Dr. Louise Graham and her class. Then watch them play musical chairs!

Folks from the Brockton Blue Dog Shelter will be here all day with info on how to adopt a dog or how you can help the dogs waiting to be adopted.

Drop in Days activities feature hands-on arts, crafts and science activities. Most are held in the Museum's outdoor space, weather permitting. This space also offers a perennial garden, play area, a stage and shady spots to eat lunch or snacks for those days when it's just too nice to stay inside the whole time. "Drop in Days" are free with admission and any age can participate. The activities run from 10:30 AM to 3 PM. No registration is required.

Summer hours at the Museum are Monday through Friday 9 am to 4 pm, and Saturday 12 to 4 pm. Admission is $6 per person, under one is free. We reserve the right to reschedule appearances and programs due to weather or unforeseen events.
