Workshop day on the role of faith in the public space
Many Christians face the challenge of how to take their faith to work. Is there room for faith in the school, the hospital, the prison or in business?
The media are quick to report challenges to public expressions of faith. This day is aimed at those who want to explore the place of faith in today's society. Our expert speakers will guide us but there will be plenty of room for discussion.
Keynote speaker - Mr. Paul Woolley, Director of THEOS thinktank.
Four Workshops:
Faith in the School - Mr Mike Reading, The Principal, The Oxford Academy
Faith in the Hospital - The Rev Dr Chris Swift, Head of Chaplaincy, Leeds Teaching Hospitals HBS Trust
Faith in the Prison - Sir Joe Pilling, Former Director General of HM prison Service
Faith in the Market - Dr Cathyerine Cowley, Assistant Director, Heythrop Institute for Religion, Ethics and Public Life
