Documenting Brooklyn
Taking the borough ? with its long history and 2.5 million residents ? as its canvas, ?Documenting Brooklyn? examines Brooklyn through a camera lens to explore the truths that patient, informed observation can reveal. It also considers the nature, the possibilities and the limits of the documentary form itself. Richard Pena, program director of the Film Society at Lincoln Center, and Kenneth Jackson, professor of history and editor of the Encyclopedia of New York City, host the series.
