"Anita's Africa"

"Naming Pluto"
Director Ginita Jimenez (UK, 2008) Northern California Premiere. "In 1930, American astronomer Clyde Tombaugh discovers Planet X. Across the Atlantic, 11-year-old Venetia Burney becomes the only child in the world to name a planet. 77 years later, she gets the opportunity to see Pluto through a telescope for the first time." The San Joaquin Film Society's inaugural California Documentary Festival (CalDocFest): California Central Valley's first international focus on nonfiction cinema. The Festival is dedicated to promoting gifted documentary filmmakers and sharing knowledge and understanding of our world.
