On April 22nd in Chicago, the DMA and TopRankMarketing.com are launching a new course entitled Social Media Smarts: An Introduction to the Social Web, Tools and Strategies. Social Media Smarts will be led by Lee Odden, CEO of TopRank Online Marketing and introduces participants to the marketing and communications channel opportunities of social media through practical demonstration of social media tools, case studies and exercises.
 
Attendees will learn the basics of blogging, blog marketing and online reputation management as well as social networking, news, bookmarks, video and image sharing, wikis and podcasting.  Understanding how social media communication channels can engage customers will enable attendees to create a social media strategy and plan for their business by the end of the course.
