DJUGL (Django User Group London) is a monthly event where the community can get together and listen to talks, socialise and share their experiences using the Django framework (usually over a pint).

It’s run by Robert Lofthouse (http://www.siudesign.co.uk) who is a technology consultant working in London, Technical Director at Siu Design and the DjangoCon/EuroDjangoCon chairman.

19th January 2009. Doors will open at 6:30pm (pizza will be waiting for you). The talks will start at 7pm and will go on till 8:30pm.

Speakers

* Andrew Godwin (http://aeracode.org) – South Migrations. Andrew is the creator of the South Migration application (http://south.aeracode.org/), was a speaker at DjangoCon on the Schema Evolution panel and is currently a student studying Computer Science at Magdalen College, Oxford. Definitely one to watch :)

* Aral Balkan (http://aralbalkan.com/) – Talk to be confirmed. Aral is a professional speaker/designer/developer, recently organised the Head conference http://www.headconference.com/ and is known for his work with Flash and Django.

* Simon Willison (http://simonwillison.net) – Talk to be confirmed. Simon is a programmer in the UK, currently working for the Guardian. He is the co-creator of the Django framework and is a known speaker in the tech community on topics ranging from Javascript to OpenID.
