DJ Harvey is one of those dudes whose musical legacy defies the basic tenets of success. Whereas most DJs are considered lucky to have international fame and fortune tucked under their belt, Harvey hasn't/won't stopped there.

He has released tracks under various pseudonyms on labels such as Mo’ Wax, Dorado, Ministry Of Sound, Skint and Junior Boys Own. He has produced and remixed tracks for Jamiroquai, Brand New Heavies, Ian Brown, Stereo MCs, Electronic, The Police and Cornershop as befits his eclectic style. He is one half of the duo behind the classic and elusive Black Cock record label, on which he has recreated famous and lost edits of disco records by house music pioneers such as Larry Levan and Ron Hardy.

He has spun at parties and clubs as diverse as Pacha, Yellow, Ministry Of Sound, Cielo, Respect in Paris, Deepspace, 718 Sessions and has re-mixed and produced a vast array of artists such as Jamiroqui, The Police, Ian Brown, Brand New Heavies, Tommy Guerrero. He has also collaborated with Thomas Bullock (of Rub'N'Tug and A.R.E. Weapons) on the disco rock project Map of Africa, and his compilation CD "Sarcastic Disco" has been making waves everywhere.

So forget the fact that he is also an avid surfer/skater, provided the soundtrack to accompany Tony Alva’s exhibition, and passes the time by spinning nine hour mega sets in LA warehouse parties.

Because the man is a legend from way back. That's all you need to know.
