FAMILY FUN RUN 5K
Families will enjoy a fun 5K that takes runners through the Theme Parks of the DisneylandŽ Theme Parks. This event is open to everyone so the entire family can take part in the weekend events.
The 5K will start at 7 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2006. The course will wind through both DisneylandŽ Park and Disney's California Adventure? Theme Park, finishing with a post race celebration the whole family can enjoy.
5K PACING REQUIREMENT
All 5K participants will be required to maintain a 15-minute per mile pace in order to receive the finisher medal. Any participants unable to maintain this pace will be picked up and transported to the finish.
5K SAFETY REMINDER
For everyone's safety, baby joggers/strollers, bicycles, inline skates, skateboards, headphones, and animals are prohibited on the course.
KIDS' RACES DATE AND TIME
Saturday, September 16, 2006
The races will begin following the finish of the 5k and are limited to 750 participants (not including Diaper Dash participants). Parents and guardians are permitted to accompany their child during the Kids Races!
* 400-yard dash (7-8 years old) 8:30 a.m.
* 200-yard dash (4-6 years old) 8:40 a.m.
* 100-yard dash (1-3 years old) 8:50 a.m.
* Diaper Dash for children 12 months and under 9 a.m.
ENTRY FEES
* $25 for 5K entries postmarked by September 4, 2006.
* $30 for 5K entries from September 5, 2006 to race day.
* $5 per child for Kids' Races
All 5K participants will receive a t-shirt and a special medal while Kids' Races participants will receive a special medal.
