Discussion: Tight Rope: An architectural balancing act November 27, 2007

As part of the Soft Boundaries discussion series at M&A, SCI-Arc faculty members Dwayne Oyler and Jenny Wu will discuss their current installation Density Fields. An “extreme cantilever” built from aluminum and polypropylene rope over the courtyard of Materials & Applications (M&A) in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, Density Fields defies classification as either sculpture or architecture. Oyler and Wu, joined by four members of their team, speak about the installation and the experience of working together.

This event is open to all. A $5 donation is requested at the door.
