Arrested in Uganda in the aftermath of the Entebbe Raid, jailed for discussing capitalism in communist Ethiopia and lost in the Madagascan jungle for three days – Hilary shares the adventures and inspirations that have shaped her life. Her reflections will include her unconventional beginning in publishing – hitchhiking to her first Frankfurt book fair and sleeping on trains and buses to sell books across Europe and the US.
