Naomi Klein is the award-winning author of No Logo: Taking Aim at the Brand Bullies and Fences and Windows. Her column for The Nation is syndicated throughout the world. Her new book, The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism, will be published this fall. Neil Smith is Distinguished Professor of Anthropology at the Graduate Center, CUNY, where he also directs the Center for Place, Culture, and Politics. His books include American Empire: Roosevelt’s Geographer and the Prelude to Globalization and The Endgame of Globalization.
